​The Johnson City Downtown Day Center (JCDDC) is a safe place for homeless individuals to go during the day to receive essential services. These services include: medical and mental health clinics, counseling, Substance Abuse and Trauma groups, case management, washer/dryer services, shower services, and a clothes closet. The JCDDC is open to individuals, families, and youth over the age of 18 years old. Case Managers are on site daily to assist all clients with navigating the homeless services process in Johnson City. These services can include obtaining housing, employment, state ID/birth certificate and applying for SSI/SSDI. The JCDDC is open Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. 

The JCDDC is a satellite clinic of the Johnson City Community Health Center (JCCHC).

NET Trans

Who can ride?

Anyone can ride! NET Trans is your link for rural public transit.  Service includes door to door, non-emergency transportation to anyone requesting a ride.  Our fleet is equipped with wheelchair lifts and able to serve our customers with disabilities.

Public rides are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.  We provide service in Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington counties.  We request a 24 hour notice to make a reservation.  Please call our Call Center for more information or to schedule a ride.

Oxford House – Recovery Housing for Adults

Oxford Houses are safe, supportive housing options for adults at least 18 years old who are in recovery from alcohol abuse and/or drug abuse. Individuals must be motivated to live in a disciplined, supportive, alcohol- and drug-free living environment and able to gain employment or receive some type of legitimate financial assistance. Residents pay a weekly fee that includes rent, utilities, cable, and internet connection. The fee varies between $80 and $110 per week, depending on the location.
